Addison- 1 Year
Sweet Addison. I seriously love this precious little thing!! I can't believe that it's been a year since I photographed her as a newborn and a short 6 (or less) months since we did her 6 month shoot. Time really does fly. It has been so fun to watch her little personality develop and I swear she just keeps getting cuter...as if that is even possible!! We met up on a Sunday afternoon her grandparents' house for pics this time. They live in Bentwood on the golf course and it couldn't have been a more perfect location! Unfortunately, despite momma's best efforts, little miss refused to take a nap earlier in the day, so you can imagine how thrilled she was that I came to chase her around with a big camera!! She really did so very well, as long as we let her do her own thing (but this is true of little ones whether they have napped or not)! I came prepared with a fluffy feather boa and beaded necklaces of every color in hopes of a "sit still" distraction, but Addi had other interests: pecans. Yes, that is right folks, pecans. She was fascinated with picking them up, putting them in her mouth, and throwing them around! And she DID NOT like it if ANY of us tried to take them away! It was hilarious!! None-the-less, as always with this precious one, we got some great shots...and I DID win her heart in the end with her birthday cupcake. Sorry, momma and Lolli, that I stained your hands and Addi pink, but I think it was worth it ;) Thank you for trusting me with Addison's milestone pictures. She is such a joy!!

Jaben & Savannah- Wedding
I was honored to be the photographer for my "baby" cousin Jaben (he was the youngest of 9 of us for awhile) and his incredibly gorgeous bride Savannah. Jaben's mom, my Aunt Pam and her sister my Aunt Stacy, were MY wedding planners/decorators! So now it was my turn to play a part in the wedding process with the family. I am thinking maybe we should start a wedding business together...whatcha think Aunt Pam?! ;) Anyway, I had not met Savannah before the wedding, but the instant I met her, I felt like we had been great friends all of our lives. She is just one of those people that exudes inner and outer beauty!
Unique. Modern. Vintage. Whimsical. Historical. Fabulous. These are just a FEW words that describe this wedding. It was one of those weddings that was purely magical. The venue: spectacular. The decor: phenomenal. The bride and groom: sensational. Tucked away in the nooks and crannies of downtown Santa Fe was the wedding venue: the famous Loretto Chapel. On wedding day cue, it was shining with it's magnificent beauty and as if the stunning location weren't enough for that wintery wedding day, a blanket of snow fell from the sky adding an extra measure of glimmer :) And YES we did take pictures in the snow, how could we not? The reception was held next door to the chapel at the Inn and Spa at Loretto. I tell you it was a photographer's dream and I literally COULD NOT take a bad picture...even the "out of focus" ones seemed to capture some sense of magical beauty :) Thank you so much for allowing me to be a very significant part of your wedding day! Enjoy your preview:

I love, love, love bridal sessions and I hate, hate, hate not being able to post the pictures until after the wedding!! We had so much fun and I love that she brought a few of her own props :)
